DreamWorks Animation Plans ‘The Bad Guys 2’ Release for Late Summer 2025

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation are preparing to delight audiences once again with the highly anticipated sequel to their 2022 box office hit, “The Bad Guys.” With the original film grossing an impressive $250 million worldwide, the stakes are high for “The Bad Guys 2,” scheduled to hit theaters on August 1, 2025. The release date was previously earmarked for an untitled DreamWorks Animation project, signaling the studio’s commitment to bringing back this beloved crew of animal outlaws for another action-packed adventure.

In “The Bad Guys 2,” viewers will reunite with the dynamic team of reformed criminals who are still adjusting to their newfound roles as Good Guys. However, their peaceful retirement is abruptly interrupted when they’re coerced into one last heist by a cunning all-female gang of criminals.
