At the AnimeJapan 2023 event, which showcased “The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse,” fans were treated to an exciting new teaser trailer that set the stage for the upcoming series. Alongside the trailer, the panel made several significant announcements, including the introduction of the main staff and cast, as well as the highly anticipated premiere date set for October 2023.

Leading the project as the director is Maki Odaira, known for their work on “Pokémon Journeys.” Shigeru Murakoshi, acclaimed for their involvement in “ZOMBIE LAND SAGA,” takes charge of the series composition and script. Yoichi Takada, recognized for their exceptional work on “Shenmue the Animation,” brings their unique touch to the character design. The musical score will be crafted by Kohta Yamamoto, who has impressed audiences with their compositions for “Attack on Titan: The Final Season.” Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto team up for the main theme composition. The animation production will be handled by TMS Entertainment, ensuring high-quality visuals and captivating storytelling.

Shimada Aino portrays Nasiens, and Kanna Nakamura, recognized for her performance as Urushi Yaotome in “When Will Ayumu Make His Move?,” voices the character An. Lastly, Koki Uchiyama, renowned for his portrayal of Kei Tsukishima in “Haikyu!!,” brings his talent to the role of Shin.

“The Four Knights of the Apocalypse” manga, which began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in January 2021, serves as a continuation of the original “The Seven Deadly Sins” manga. Nakaba Suzuki, the creative mind behind the captivating world of “The Seven Deadly Sins,” continues to pen the series, with Kodansha publishing an English version. The manga’s description reveals an intriguing premise: Percival, who has spent his life in the remote sanctuary of God’s Finger, yearns for adventure despite his contentment with a simple existence. However, everything changes when a mysterious intruder, sharing an astonishing connection with him, disrupts his peaceful life, leaving him with nothing but the desire to seek justice. Determined to reclaim what was taken from him, Percival embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, he encounters various challenges and uncovers a world beyond his imagination. The companions he encounters on his path provide both support and surprises, as they become entangled in Percival’s destiny and the impending doom that looms over their world.
