Tokyo Revengers Season 2 gets new streaming home

Kodansha, the Japanese publishing company and owner of the popular manga series Tokyo Revengers, has announced a new streaming partner for the show’s highly anticipated second season. After the first season was streamed on Crunchyroll, Kodansha has now partnered with Disney+ in Japan and Hulu in the United States to bring the new season to fans.

The announcement came in the form of a trailer for season 2, released on YouTube, which confirmed that Tokyo Revengers will be available on Disney+ in Japan starting on Sunday, January 8, 2023, and on Hulu in the United States starting on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The split streaming rights in different regions is not uncommon, as was seen with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

This new streaming framework is indicative of the changing landscape in the anime industry, where the popularity of anime has exploded in recent years.
