The Incredibles marks its return to theaters with a Disney 100 poster celebration

“Pixar is marking the return of The Incredibles to theaters with a special Disney 100 poster. This cinematic comeback is in honor of Disney’s 100th anniversary, with screenings running from September 1 to September 14. Pixar excitedly shared the poster on Twitter, encouraging fans to gear up in their superhero attire for a theater outing.

The Incredibles, directed by Brad Bird and originally released in June 2004, tells the story of the Parrs, a family of superheroes who must conceal their remarkable abilities but are thrust into a perilous adventure against the villainous Syndrome, portrayed by Jason Lee. The film boasts an impressive voice cast, including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Spencer Fox, and Samuel L. Jackson. It earned accolades at the 77th Academy Awards, winning Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing, with nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Sound Mixing.

In 2018, Brad Bird revisited The Incredibles universe with the sequel, Incredibles 2, which has become the fifth highest-grossing animated film of all time, following other successful animated releases like the 2019 Lion King remake, Frozen II, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Frozen.

Following The Incredibles, Disney has a line-up of cinematic treats in store for its audience. Coco will be back on the big screen from September 15 to September 28, followed by the timeless 1994 classic, The Lion King, gracing theaters from September 29 to October 12. Lastly, Moana will make a return from October 13 to October 26, offering fans a chance to relive the magic of these Disney gems on the silver screen.”
