The 9th Anime Trending Awards has crowned “Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night” as the Anime Movie of the Year. The movie is an adaptation of the spin-off light novel series “Sword Art Online Progressive” by Reki Kawahara. It features Ayako Kouno as the director, Kento Toya as the character designer and chief animation director, Yukito Kizawa as the scriptwriter, Yuki Kajiura as the music composer, and A-1 Pictures as the animation production company. Lead characters Kirito and Asuna are voiced by Haruka Tomatsu and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, respectively.
