For those eager to get a closer look at the gameplay of Sword Art Online: Last Recollection before its October release, Bandai Namco has delivered an extensive gameplay video that covers various aspects, including exploration, customization, inventory management, skills, and more. Watch as Kirito and his companions attempt to save the Underworld in the exciting gameplay trailer below.

In addition to introducing new original characters, Last Recollection will feature the return of voice actors from the main series, reprising their respective roles. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will voice Kirito, Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna, Miyuki Sawashiro as Shinon, Ayana Taketatsu as Leafa, Ai Kayano as Alice, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo, among others.

SWORD ART ONLINE LAST RECOLLECTION follows the beloved protagonist Kirito and his friends on a new adventure separate from the War of Underworld story arc found in the original novel and anime series. The game introduces evolved high-speed combat and cooperative gameplay for up to four players. As our heroes journey to the Underworld, tensions rise between the Human Realm and Dark Territory, threatening to ignite a war that could plunge both the virtual world of humans and AIs into chaos. Unbeknownst to our heroes, these events mark the final stages of the “Alicization Project,” a secret experiment conducted by humans in the real world to incite war in the virtual realm and drive the evolution of AI through brutal warfare.
