Sony Music Solutions announced that a new dungeon experience facility named THE TOKYO MATRIX had opened on April 14, 2023, in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The facility is located on the fourth floor of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, and it features a mission-driven attraction where users need to work together with their friends to defeat monsters, find items, and escape traps to clear dungeons.

One of the dungeons that can be challenged at THE TOKYO MATRIX is called “Sword Art Online – Anomaly Quest,” which is inspired by the popular Sword Art Online anime franchise. The concept of the dungeon is to complete a new quest in the full-dive VR MMORPG ‘ALfheim Online’ by defeating Kirito and Asuna, two of the franchise’s main characters. Players need to form a party to defeat the two and then head to the deepest part of the dungeon under the guidance of Yui, a character from the anime.

Since its opening, THE TOKYO MATRIX has attracted a large number of visitors, including foreign tourists visiting Japan.
