Special trailer released for Tokyo Revengers manga finale

Recently, the popular manga series Tokyo Revengers released a special trailer for its finale, just a day before the publication of the final chapter in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on November 16. The trailer is available to watch on the magazine’s official YouTube channel. The manga’s author, Ken Wakui, launched Tokyo Revengers in March 2017, and since then, it has become a huge success, surpassing 65 million circulating copies. The 30th compiled volume is set to release on November 17.

The story of Tokyo Revengers follows Takemichi Hanagaki, who, after learning of his middle school girlfriend’s death, time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days to save her and change his life. However, in order to do so, he must take on the most sinister delinquent gang in Kanto. The manga inspired anime adaptations by Studio LIDEN FILMS, with the first season airing from April to September 2021. The sequel, which will cover the manga’s Christmas Conflict arc, is set to premiere in January 2023.

Kodansha is also publishing the manga in English and released the latest volume, the 27th, as an e-book on October 11, 2022. Fans of the series are excited to see how the story will conclude in the final chapter, and whether or not Takemichi will be able to save everyone. The post that accompanied the trailer’s release said, “Let’s welcome the very moment of the final chapter!!”.
