Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse anime announces October premiere with new cast and staff

The AnimeJapan 2023 event showcased a second teaser video and visual for The Seven Deadly Sins franchise’s television anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki’s sequel manga, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse. The teaser video unveiled that the anime is set to premiere in October on TBS and its affiliated networks.

During the event, additional cast members were announced, and the main staff members were revealed. Maki Odaira is directing the anime, while Shigeru Murakoshi is overseeing and writing the series scripts. Youichi Takada is the character designer, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto are composing the main theme, with Yamamoto also handling the music composition. Telecom Animation Film is in charge of the animation production, while UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is responsible for production and planning.

Shou Komura is lending his voice to the protagonist, Percival. The manga, launched by Suzuki in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in January 2021, follows Percival’s journey after his peaceful life is shattered by a mysterious intruder who has a profound connection to him. As he sets out on a quest for vengeance, he discovers a world beyond his imagination and encounters allies who join him on his path.

Suzuki, the creator of the original The Seven Deadly Sins manga, concluded it in March 2020 after its serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2012. The manga inspired various anime adaptations and films. The sequel manga, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, is being published in English digitally and in print by Kodansha USA Publishing, allowing fans to continue the thrilling journey in the Seven Deadly Sins universe.
