Re:Zero’s 5th arc gets manga adaptation

The Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- franchise is set to delight fans with an upcoming manga adaptation of the fifth arc, “Stars that Engrave History,” taken from Tappei Nagatsuki’s original light novels. This exciting news was revealed through the official Twitter account for the franchise, sparking anticipation among enthusiasts. The manga adaptation of this arc is scheduled to debut in the summer and will be featured on the Comic Alive+ label, which can be accessed on the popular ComicWalker website.

For those unfamiliar with the Re:Zero storyline, the fifth arc “Stars that Engrave History” covers volumes 16 to 20 of the original light novels. As the manga progresses, fans can delve deeper into the intricacies of this captivating narrative and explore the fascinating world of Re:Zero in visual form.

Currently, the manga adaptation is captivating readers with the fourth arc, titled “The Everlasting Contract.” This arc corresponds to volumes 10 to 15 of the light novels and is lovingly brought to life by the talented artists Haruno Atori and Yū Aikawa. The ongoing manga, known as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Chapter 4: The Sanctuary and the Witch of Greed, debuted in Kadokawa’s Comic Alive magazine in 2019. The popularity of the manga adaptations has grown steadily, with Kadokawa recently releasing the seventh compiled book volume, which encompasses the 25th overall volume of all Re:Zero manga adaptations from the main light novel story. English-speaking fans can also indulge in the manga, as Yen Press has taken on the task of publishing and distributing the translated versions. They have already released the fifth volume of Chapter 4, equivalent to the 23rd overall volume, on February 21.

It’s worth noting that the manga adaptations of the earlier arcs were skillfully crafted by different mangaka. Daichi Matsuse beautifully illustrated Chapter 1 and Chapter 3, while Chapter 2 was brought to life by the talented Makoto Fugetsu. Yen Press has also made these arcs available to fans, ensuring that readers can fully immerse themselves in the rich and captivating world of Re:Zero through various mediums.
