Promo video for 2nd Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel film streamed

The official website for the Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel anime film trilogy has released the first promotional video for the second film in the trilogy, titled Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly. The video is now available for streaming on the website (please note that the video is region-locked to Japan).

Scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 12, 2019, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly will be screened in 131 theaters across the country. Originally planned for a release this year, the film has generated much anticipation among fans. Aniplex of America has also announced plans to bring the film to the United States in 2019, ensuring that international audiences can enjoy the highly anticipated sequel.

The first film in the trilogy, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel I. presage flower, made a significant impact upon its release. It claimed the top spot at the Japanese box office, both in terms of attendance and box office earnings, in October. With a total of 980,000 tickets sold, the film earned an impressive 1.5 billion yen (approximately US$13.5 million). Following its premiere in Los Angeles at The Theater At Ace Hotel last November, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel I. presage flower expanded its screenings across various theaters in the United States from November 17 to mid-December. Canadian audiences also had the opportunity to enjoy the film starting from January 14. Additionally, an English dubbed version of the first film debuted in U.S. theaters on June 5 and June 7. Fans who missed the theatrical release will soon have the chance to own the film on Blu-ray Disc, as Aniplex of America plans to release it on November 20.

The Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel films are directed by Tomonori Sudō, known for his work as the animation director for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Zero. The animation is produced by ufotable, ensuring the highest quality visuals for the films. The renowned composer Yuki Kajiura, who has previously worked on the theme songs for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and the music for Fate/Zero, is responsible for the film’s music. Storyboards for the films are provided by Takahiro Miura, while Aimer performed the theme song for the first film.

The “Heaven’s Feel” route, featured in the original Fate/stay night visual novel, serves as the foundation for this film trilogy. A manga adaptation of the route was launched in May 2015, further expanding the Fate/stay night universe and captivating fans with its compelling storyline.
