The anime adaptations of Fate/stay night are reaching their culmination with the film trilogy based on the final route of the original visual novel, Heaven’s Feel. Following the success of the first film in Japan and the United States, the second film is set to release soon.

Aniplex of America has acquired the license for Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly and will have a limited theatrical run in the United States and Canada on March 14. The English subtitled trailer for the film is now available, featuring the theme song “I beg you” by Aimer. The trailer offers a glimpse of the story’s developments, including the highly anticipated appearance of Saber Alter.

Prior to the film’s theatrical release, a special premiere will be held on February 23 at Regal L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. Tomonori Sudou, the animation director for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Zero, is directing the Heaven’s Feel trilogy at studio ufotable. Yuki Kajiura is composing the music, while Takahiro Miura is handling the storyboard. The third film, Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel III. spring song, is scheduled to premiere in Japan in Spring 2020.

Both previous films in the Heaven’s Feel trilogy achieved remarkable success upon their release in Japan. The first film topped the Japanese box office in 2017, earning 1.5 billion yen (approximately $13.5 million USD), while the second film replicated this feat. Within just 12 days, the second film accumulated 1 billion yen in box office revenue.
