A recent post by a Pokemon GO player has generated a lot of buzz in the online gaming community. The post showcases an extremely rare catch that was made on the first spawn from the player’s Daily Adventure Incense. This chance encounter is remarkable because the Daily Adventure Incense does not guarantee the appearance of any high-rarity Pokemon, making this player’s catch incredibly unlikely.
Pokemon GO, the popular mobile game, is continuously adding new Pokemon from the most recent generations of the main series games to its platform. Currently, the game is in the process of adding the 89 new Pokemon and various regional forms found in generation 8, which includes everything from Pokemon Sword and Shield. One of the most exciting regional forms from this game is for the original legendary bird trio, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Recently, one lucky player stumbled across one of the legendary trio on their very first spawn while using the Daily Adventure Incense.
The player’s Reddit post, by u/DONTCARELOLK, shows a rare Daily Adventure Incense summary. Only one Pokemon was caught, and that Pokemon was the rare Psychic-Flying Galarian form of Articuno. All the Galarian forms of the legendary bird Pokemon trio can only be found in the wild via the Daily Adventure Incense. These legendary birds are notoriously difficult to catch, with a base catch rate of only 0.3% and a flee rate of 90%. Therefore, it is even more surprising that the poster was able to find one of these rare Pokemon on the first spawn of their Daily Adventure Incense and catch it despite a botched throw with “no catch bonus,” according to a comment made by the poster.
The Daily Adventure Incense was introduced to Pokemon GO about a year ago and is considered one of the best additions to the game since its launch in 2016. This item encourages players to do a lot of walking during its use while enabling players living anywhere to catch rare Pokemon, not just those who are fortunate enough to live near all the good Gyms in a city. The Daily Adventure Incense also allows gamers living in rural areas to catch all three of the rare Galarian-Form legendary bird Pokemon, which would otherwise be challenging to find.
While the player’s catch is undoubtedly a stroke of luck, other Pokemon GO players have also found valuable catches using the Daily Adventure Incense. Jangmo-o, Elgyem, and even a shiny Charizard are some of the rare Pokemon that have been found using this item, proving that the Daily Adventure Incense is a valuable asset for any Pokemon GO player.
