Is Norman Reedus Playing Johnny Blaze in Disney Plus’ Ghost Rider Series?

With the recent release of Norman Reedus-led Daryl Dixon spin-off, speculation has arisen about his potential portrayal of Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it’s important to clarify that Norman Reedus is not set to play Ghost Rider in the MCU. Despite fans’ desires and Reedus’ physical resemblance to Johnny Blaze, the actor has not been officially cast as Ghost Rider. Additionally, the actor featured in a fanmade trailer that sparked rumors was not Reedus but Keanu Reeves, who is also not confirmed for the role.

While there have been previous reports in 2021 suggesting Reedus’s involvement as Ghost Rider, no official confirmation has been made regarding his casting.

As for the new Ghost Rider in the MCU, there have been indications of plans for Johnny Blaze, the original Ghost Rider, to lead a Disney Plus series. This series is expected to include hints of Danny Ketch’s presence. However, there has been no official announcement from Marvel Studios regarding the character’s introduction in the MCU. Furthermore, there has been no news about the inclusion of Robbie Reyes, a character remembered by fans from his appearances in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting official updates from Marvel Studios regarding the Ghost Rider project.

It’s worth noting that Nicolas Cage previously portrayed Ghost Rider in two live-action films, “Ghost Rider” (2007) and its sequel, “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” (2011). However, these movies are not part of the MCU, and there is no information regarding whether Cage will reprise the role of Johnny Blaze in any future MCU projects.
