Inuyasha has become a timeless classic in the world of anime, beloved by millions of fans worldwide for its captivating story and endearing characters. Set more than a decade after Inuyasha, Yashahime follows the journey of Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna, the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, as they embark on a journey transcending time. Towa and Setsuna are separated during a forest fire in feudal Japan, with Towa being transported to present-day Japan where she is raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras reopens, leading to a reunion between Towa and Setsuna. However, Setsuna has lost all memories of her older sister, leading the trio on an adventure to regain their missing past.
The English dub cast for Yashahime features some serious talent. Erica Mendez will voice Towa Higurashi, Kira Buckland will play Setsuna, and Morgan Berry will voice Moroha. Although no casting decisions have been made for returning characters such as Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru, fans are hoping that the original cast will reprise their roles for this sequel.
Yashahime has already aired four episodes with more to come, and fans can catch the series on streaming services such as Funimation and Crunchyroll.
