Fate/stay night fans can finally rejoice, as the popular anime franchise has announced the English dub release of their latest movie adaptation. After the massive success of Fate/stay night, its spin-offs Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/Zero, fans have been eagerly awaiting the “Heaven’s Feel” story route, which was adapted into a trilogy of films in Japan.
The first film of the trilogy, Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] THE MOVIE I. presage flower, was released in Japan last year and was a massive hit with fans. Now, the movie has been adapted with an English dub and is set to be screened in select theaters in the United States. The first screening is scheduled for June 5 and 7, and interested fans can book tickets for the screening event starting May 4.
Fathom Events will release a full list of available theaters on the same day, and each screening will include special bonus content featuring ADR director Tony Oliver and the English voice cast. Fans can experience the English dub version of Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] THE MOVIE I. presage flower for the first time, which will include epic action scenes and heart-wrenching drama, tied together by original author Kinoko Nasu’s unique storytelling and otherworldly cast of characters.
The Fate franchise has given anime fans some of the most iconic titles, including Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], Fate/Zero, and the hit mobile game Fate/Grand Order. The film summons the all-star English voice cast from “Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works],” including Kari Wahlgren as Saber, Bryce Papenbrook as Shirou Emiya, Mela Lee as Rin Tohsaka, Kyle McCarley as Shinji Matou, Kaiji Tang as Archer, Crispin Freeman as Kirei Kotomine, and Cristina Vee as heroine Sakura Matou. Moreover, Composer Yuki Kajiura will provide the soundtrack for the film, and director Tomonori Sudo returns to the Fate series to craft the events of the visual novel into the complete cinematic experience.
The animation studio ufotable, known for Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], and the Garden of sinners, also returns to animate TYPE-MOON’s work, promising all of the dynamic action of the previous installations.
