Essential Information on The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6

Seven Deadly Sins

“Despite the disappointment caused by the poor animation in recent seasons of the franchise, fans are still curious about the possibility of The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6. Interestingly, it’s a mixture of both happening and not happening. The remaining chapters of the manga were already adapted as part of the fifth season, so there is no more source material left.

While this may sound disheartening, there is actually good news. Nakaba Suzuki, the creator, has developed a sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins franchise called Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Netflix recently released The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 1, an anime film that continues the story directly after the end of the anime, and Part 2 is on its way. Additionally, an anime focusing on the sequel is officially in progress.

So, when can we expect The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6? Unfortunately, since the story concluded with the fifth season, there won’t be a Season 6. However, fans can look forward to the release of the sequel anime, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, which is currently in development and set to be released later in 2023.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 Release Date Window

It’s exciting to know that the franchise will continue with a sequel. Although an exact release date for the sequel anime hasn’t been announced yet, fans can anticipate the arrival of Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 in August 2023.

Now, let’s address the plot of The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6 (spoiler alert). Technically, Meliodas’ journey is over because the Demon King is dead, which is why Season 6 isn’t being produced. Instead, the sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, takes place 16 years later. The story follows a new protagonist named Percival as he searches for the remaining members of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. According to prophecy, this group will be responsible for the end of the world. While searching, Percival encounters the children of The Seven Deadly Sins, but he must evade the forces of Camelot who seek to prevent the chaos before it even begins.

As for the studio behind Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, since The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6 isn’t happening, there is no studio attached to it. However, the confirmed sequel anime will be animated by Telecom Animation Film. This is a significant improvement as the animation quality was a major downfall of The Seven Deadly Sins. The franchise went from being highly anticipated and regarded in the industry to an average show. Fortunately, with a studio like Telecom Animation Film, known for its stunning works such as Tower of God, Baki specials, and Lupin III, working on the sequel, the series may be able to redeem its troubled past.

Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh part 2 slated for August 2023

When it comes to the airing of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Netflix has recently become the exclusive distributor of all new Sins projects. The Grudge of Edinburgh films are also Netflix originals, indicating that it’s likely The Seven Deadly Sins: Season 6, or rather the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse anime, will only be available on Netflix. However, this hasn’t been officially confirmed, so it’s still possible that Crunchyroll, Funimation, and even Hulu might also stream the anime upon its release.”
