‘Elemental’ Attracts 26.4 Million Views on Disney+ in Its Initial Five Days

The collaboration between Disney and Pixar has witnessed a triumphant streaming debut for their latest film, ‘Elemental,’ on Disney+. Within its inaugural five days of availability, the movie drew an impressive audience of 26.4 million views. This accomplishment solidifies ‘Elemental’ as not only the most-watched movie premiere of the year on the streaming service but also positions it among the top 10 movie premieres in the history of Disney+. It’s worth noting that Disney calculates views by considering the total stream time divided by the runtime, adopting a metric similar to Netflix’s approach.

For additional context, the film’s success extends to it being the most-viewed animated movie premiere since the release of Disney and Pixar’s ‘Turning Red’ in March 2022. Furthermore, ‘Elemental’ has secured the title of the most-viewed Disney+ movie premiere in Latin America, surpassing the viewership of ‘Turning Red’ in the region.

Comparatively, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ another notable release on Disney+, achieved approximately 10.8 million views during its initial five days of availability, providing a benchmark for ‘Elemental’s remarkable performance.

The narrative of ‘Elemental’ unfolds in the vibrant setting of Element City, where inhabitants representing the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air coexist. The storyline revolves around Ember, voiced by Leah Lewis, a quick-witted and fiery character whose friendship with the laid-back Wade, portrayed by Mamoudou Athie, challenges her beliefs and self-perception.
