Several beloved Disney+ streaming series, including Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” and Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” and “Loki,” are getting physical media releases later this year. The first season of “Loki” will hit shelves on September 26, “WandaVision” on November 28, and the first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” on December 12. These releases will come in Collector’s Edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats, featuring Steelbook packaging, concept art cards, and exclusive bonus content. The Steelbook edition will showcase fresh box art designed by artist Attila Szarka and include collectible concept art cards.
The “Loki” release will include special features like “Designing the TVA,” offering insights from production designer Kasra Farahani and Tom Hiddleston, a Miss Minutes TVA orientation video, deleted scenes (including one introducing Frog Thor), a gag reel, and the “Assembled” documentary. Specific bonus content for the other releases will be announced at a later date.
“The Mandalorian” initially premiered alongside Disney+ on November 12, 2019, quickly becoming a flagship series for the streaming platform and sparking numerous spin-offs, such as “The Book of Boba Fett” and “Ahsoka.”
“WandaVision” was Marvel Studios’ debut Disney+ series, launching on January 15, 2021, while “Loki” followed in June 2021, resurrecting the character portrayed by Tom Hiddleston and introducing the concept of the Multiverse. “Loki” also secured a second season, set to stream in October.
Additional Marvel Studios Disney+ series, like “Moon Knight,” “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and “Secret Invasion,” have come after “WandaVision,” with “Secret Invasion” recently concluding.
Pre-orders for all four Disney+ titles will begin on August 28.
